Pets and responsible pet owners are welcome!
Pet Policy:
- All unit/households are limited to 2 pets(dogs or cats) per household.
- No outside doghouses or pens are permitted.
- Pets must be leashed and under the control of the owner when walking your pet(a) outside your home.
- Pets can be tethered outside the home providing (a) the owner or owners is on the premises to supervise the pet (b) the post securing the line is close to the home (c) the line cannot be tied to the porch or any other part of the home and (d) the length of the line does not etend into the vicinity of the neighbor's home.
- Pet waste must be cleaned up immediately when walking your pet and promptly when your pet is tied to a line.
- Owners are responsible for any property damage caused by their pet(s).
- Owners are expected to comply with the City of Burnsville Pet Ordinance.
Dog Restrictions:
- The association's policy allowing tethering of dogs outside the home necessitates precautions to protect residents against protective dogs.
- Dog breeds regarded as dangerous are not allowed. Therefore, dogs that are purebreds, or mixtures of Pit Bull, Akita, Chow, Doberman Pincher, Rottweiler and Wolf Hybrid are prohibited. The association reserves the right to disapprove any other breed regarded as dangerous, or in the alternative, to prohibit tethering such other breed outside the home.
- There are not artificial weight limits that prohibit service dogs, or other large dogs, that are not regarded as dangerous.
